Es un museo dependiente de la Universidad de Chile. Fue creado con motivo del primer centenario de la Universidad en 1942. En aquella oportunidad, la Universidad recibió muchos regalos, entre los que destacaban pequeñas colecciones de piezas de arte popular de diversos países. Con aquella colección, se formó la primera exhibición que tomó la forma actual del museo.

Museo O’higginiano y de bellas artes

Se encuentra en una casa cuya construcción se inicuo en 1762, época en que fue propiedad del Juan Albano Pereira. Comerciante portugués nombrado Tutor de Bernardo O’higgins por su padre el gobernador Ambrosio O’higgins.
Fue también sede de la junta nacional de gobierno entre 1813 y 1814.
En sus salones el 2 de febrero de 1818 Bernardo O’higgins firmo acta de la independencia de Chile.
La exhibición mas importante del museo es la pintura clásica chilena, y cuanta con obras de primer nivel desde el periodo colonial hasta principios del siglo XX, además exhibe objetos históricos que van de fines del siglo XVIII a principios del Siglo XX.
Cuanta con guías de juegos didácticos interactivos que permiten comprender el mudo de las pinturas.

Museum O'higginiano and of fine arts

Museo de artes decorativas Villa Lucia

Se ha recuperado y restaurado una antigua construcción de comienzos del siglo XX. Esta casa era del pintor y escritor Adolfo Couve.
En esta casa museo podremos conocer toda la vida y obras del este gran pintor que inmortaliza y además conocer los encantos oculto de Cartagena.

Museo de Arte y Artesanía de Linares

Se fundó el 12 de Octubre de 1966 y sus colecciones se formaron gracias a la generosidad de los artistas nacionales que reunieron más de 200 obras de arte, y a los aportes realizados por el Museo Histórico Nacional y el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes.

Museo al aire libre de Valparaíso

Ubicado en cerro Bellavista, estos murales le dieron vida a las antiguas murallas que habían en ese lugar, pero no tan solo le da vida al esas murallas, si no también al cerro, y a Valparaíso entero, todo esto gracias a la expresión de jóvenes artistas apoyados por la Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
Estos murales están enumerados y algunos que podemos nombrar son: Mural 1 Mario Carreño, Mural 3-4-5 Eduardo Pérez, Mural 9 Roberto Matta, Mural 14 Roser Bru, Mural 20 Realizado en 1969, Pavimento en el Pasaje Guinea de María Martner.

Desde 1971 esto ubicado en los dependencias del Palacio Barurizza una construcción que data de año 1916.
Este museo cuenta con colecciones de pinturas chilenas y europeas del siglo XIX y XX, donde encontramos a Rousseau, Boudin, Harry, entre otros. Y una sala dedicada a Valparaíso donde encontramos obras del alemán Juan Rugendas junto con artitas chilenos quienes pintaron temas relacionados con el puerto.

Museo Ralli

Esta es una entidad privada sin fines de lucro que busca promover el conocimiento de obras de artistas latinoamericanos vivos pero sin excluir las obras de artitas fallecidos no busca ser un museo didáctico, si no un museo que provoque placer e interés por el publico tanto por las obras como por la bellaza de la infraestructura. Además permite al espectador observar de forma libre y privada las obras para que así la persona se pueda armas su propia opinión de la obra. No presentan mas recursos tecnológicos ni la influencia de otros materiales ya que se rigen por un norma “el placer es el propósito del arte” (Francés Nicolás Poussin).
Fue creado en 1992 por Harry Recanati y su esposa Ladra Martine Recanati. Ahí cuatro museos más en otras partes del mundo similares al de Chile los cuales poseen la colección más grande de obras de latinoamericanos vivos. Esta organización fue la primera en crear una cadena de museos en el mundo. Una iniciativa que fue seguida por otros museos internacionales.
Posee aproximadamente 900 objetos que conserva el museo.

Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes

Este museo tiene como misión difundir el conocimiento de las artes visuales según los contextos y épocas. Conserva, protege, investiga, recupera y difunde el patrimonio nacional a través de diversas actividades. Educa al público utilizando métodos de acercamiento e interpretación del arte del pasado y del presente, organiza exposiciones nacionales e internacionales y colabora con la defunción del arte en las regiones de Chile.
Fue fundado por el presidente de la republica y una comitiva el 18 de septiembre de 1880. En 1887 el gobierno adquirió el Partenón donde fue trasladado. En el año 1901 a través de un concurso de arquitectura el arquitecto chileno Emilio Jéquier fue quien construyo la actual escuela y museo de bellas artes la cual a su culminación fue inaugurada oficialmente el 21 de Septiembre de 1910, su fundación paso a ser acto oficial en las fiestas del Centenario de nuestra Independencia.
Pero con el paso de el tiempo a sufrido varias modificaciones, donde se a construido un anfiteatro, una sala dedicada a Roberto Matta, para cumplir con las exigencias museográficas internacionales, entre otras Este museo fue declarado Monumento nacional el 30 de diciembre de 1976.
Algunas de las colecciones que se pueden observas son: pinturas Chilenas, pinturas Españolas, esculturas, pinturas Italianas y esculturas Africanas.

Museo de la educación Gabriela mistral

El Museo de la Educación Gabriela Mistral reabrió sus puertas en marzo de 2006, tras 21 años de estar cerrado al público, con una nueva museografía y un renovado sentido museológico.
Su aporte concreto es la sensibilización de los conceptos de patrimonio y memoria a través de la recopilación de la historia de la educación en Chile, la formación docente y el rol del Estado, y otros agentes de la sociedad civil en los procesos educativos. Junto con la muestra permanente el museo cuenta con una Sala re-creativa en donde se acercan estos temas a niños y adultos a través de juegos y talleres interactivos.

Parque de las esculturas

La misión de este, es difundir y cultivar el arte dentro de un marco referencial, aquellas expresiones del espíritu desde la pulcritud hasta la vanguardia y así atraer al público de toda condición.
Esta corporación fue creada entre 1986 y 1988. El cual tuvo fuerte ingerencias y cambios lo que luego lo levo a ser un espacio con más de 6.500 metros cuadrados y con una considerable cantidad de esculturas que cimentaron el patrimonio cultural de la comuna y el país. Y gracias a esto se puede realizar otros tipos de manifestaciones artísticas dedico a su gran espacio.
Cuenta con 29 obras expuestas entre ellas “Estela Monumental” DE Samuel Roman, “Diacronía” de Alejandra Ruddoff, “Percepción” de Lisi Fox “Homenaje a Marko Marulic” de Vasko Lipova, entre muchas otras obras dignas de ver.

La misión de este museo es contribuir al conocimiento y desarrollo de las dimensiones del proceso socio-educativo de Chile, a través de la conservación, enriquecimiento, investigación y defunción de patrimonio pedagógico de Chile.
Este museo busca

En ella encontramos, por ejemplo, máquinas electrostáticas para la enseñanza de la física, que fueron encargadas a Europa por Diego Barros Arana; láminas didácticas; una completa serie de mapas de insignes cartógrafos; pupitres, ábacos y otros artículos escolares utilizados en diversas épocas. A partir de 1997 la colección se inventarió, se organizó dentro de dos depósitos y se tomaron medidas para su conservación preventiva.

La Biblioteca Especializada
en Ciencias de la Educación del Museo cuenta con más de 40.000 obras y textos dedicados a las metodologías de educación y los agentes externos que producen un aporte en la educación, también posee cerca de 11.000 publicación periódicas y 6.000 imágenes del proceso de educación Chilena.

Y tercera, el Programa de Capacitación Docente, cuyo objetivo es entregar herramientas a los profesores para que apliquen en la sala de clases metodologías interactivas en la enseñanza de la ciencia y la tecnología.
Debido a estas características el MIM se ha convertido en un espacio para las familias, jóvenes y comunidades quienes buscan aprender en un ambiente lúdico y educativo.
