Museo de Arte Popular Americano

Es un museo dependiente de la Universidad de Chile. Fue creado con motivo del primer centenario de la Universidad en 1942. En aquella oportunidad, la Universidad recibió muchos regalos, entre los que destacaban pequeñas colecciones de piezas de arte popular de diversos países. Con aquella colección, se formó la primera exhibición que tomó la forma actual del museo.

Museum of popular American art

It is a museum dependent on the University of Chile. It was created on the occasion of the first centenary of the University in 1942. In that opportunity, the University received many gifts, between which were standing out small collections of pieces of popular art of diverse countries. With that collection, there was formed the first exhibition that took the current form of the museum.

Museo de arte contemporáneo

La creación del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, perteneciente a la Universidad de Chile se enmarcó en el mundo de la cultura que la universidad desarrolló a partir de la década de los 40, gracias al Instituto de Extensión de Artes Plásticas. Sus objetivos son Conservar las colecciones que forman parte del acervo del museo, Documentar e investigar acerca de las obras que componen sus colecciones, Incrementar su patrimonio a través de donaciones de destacados artistas nacionales e internacionales, Difundir a través de diversas actividades el patrimonio del museo, Producir y exhibir curatorías de arte moderno y contemporáneo, Estrechar vínculos entre el público, la comunidad universitaria y las nuevas tendencias del arte.

Museo chileno de arte precolombino

La colección del museo consta de 3.000 piezas que muestran la historia del hombre americano, donde destacan objetos como cerámicas y tejidos precolombinos.
Además cuanta con una tienda que vende distintas reproducciones de objetos, joyas y textiles precolombinos.

Artequín es una propuesta museológica innovadora, que permite a niños y jóvenes aproximarse al mundo del arte a través de obras artísticas, medios audiovisuales, informáticos y módulos didácticos. Museo O’higginiano y de bellas artes

Se encuentra en una casa cuya construcción se inicuo en 1762, época en que fue propiedad del Juan Albano Pereira. Comerciante portugués nombrado Tutor de Bernardo O’higgins por su padre el gobernador Ambrosio O’higgins.
Fue también sede de la junta nacional de gobierno entre 1813 y 1814.
En sus salones el 2 de febrero de 1818 Bernardo O’higgins firmo acta de la independencia de Chile.
La exhibición mas importante del museo es la pintura clásica chilena, y cuanta con obras de primer nivel desde el periodo colonial hasta principios del siglo XX, además exhibe objetos históricos que van de fines del siglo XVIII a principios del Siglo XX.
Cuanta con guías de juegos didácticos interactivos que permiten comprender el mudo de las pinturas.

Museum O'higginiano and of fine arts
